Lucky Joy est un groupe d’electropop urbaine basé entre Paris et Genève.

 

Repérage Couleur 3 avec le titre « Bellegarde » il est actuellement en playlist A Couleur 3 avec « (Dakar) Laisse béton les clichés ».

 

Finaliste des Eurock contest 2008, la formation se développe sur la scène suisse (Docks, PTR, Moultipass, Imagine festival Basel, Usine à gaz) comme sur la scène indé parisienne (Flèche d’or, Pop’in, Bellevilloise, L’international). Dernièrement le groupe a enregistré 2 lives pour la télévision nationale suisse

Fondé par Lucas Grolleau et Juan-Pablo Cisneros qui ont tous les deux été musiciens pro à New-York, le band à des influences très diverses. Ils se rejoignent sur une certaine idée de la musique qui se distingue par son aspect résolument « bricolé ».

 

Influencé par Beck, les Cars, Animal Collective, Men at work, Hot chip, LJ propose des compositions électropop enjouées en français, anglais et espagnol avec un accent particulier sur les voix.

En live, le groupe associe artistes polyvalents et machines électroniques en utilisant les harmonies vocales comme fer de lance de son rythme. Sollicité pour la sortie de son album autoproduit Ghiffa sorti en octobre 2008 (distribution itunes), Lucky Joy a participé aux émissions suisses de la TSR Tard pour Bar et Musicomax, pour lesquels le groupe a enregistré des prestations live filmées, ainsi qu’aux émissions radios NRJ live, Saperlipopette sur Couleur 3, Radio Paradiso sur RSR, Les Patriotes sur Rouge fm, Soundcheck sur WRS, Azimut sur Radio Cité.

 

Le groupe a également profité de cette exposition médiatique pour tourner son premier clip en mai dernier sur le titre « On the road » réalisé par A. Vernhes-Lermusiaux (sélec. Locarno, fest. film Pantin) et diffusé sur Roboclip émission de la télévision suisse allemande SF2.

Lucky Joy is a Swiss-French pop electronic rock band from Geneva.

Composed of Lucas Grolleau (vocals, guitar, synth, programming) and Juan-Pablo Cisneros (vocals, bass, synth, programming) it blends eclectic compositions in French, English and Spanish of folk, pop, hip-hop and rock, with a particular emphasis on vocals. The music is a do-it-yourself coloured "urban pop" whose accents oscillate between American blues, Berliner electronic, Newyorker slam and Swedish pop.

 

In 2007, the year of its creation, the band was chosen to be part of the Swiss Music Export/ FCMA Compilation "Chanson", showing the best of Swiss music to professionals around Europe. In parallel it was selected as a finalist for the Eurockéennes Festival band contest and had the opportunity to shot its first video clip, featured since then on Roboclip (SF2) and at the Orléans Video Festival in France.

 

After the release of its first album Ghiffa in October 2008, Lucky Joy has attracted great media and public interest. Bellegarde, the first title of the album was broadcasted on Swiss national radio Couleur 3 as a Repérage and in October 2008, the second single Dakar Lasse béton les clichés entered its A playlist. More recently the band has been performing for the tv shows Tard pour Bar (TSR) and Musicomax (TSR 2) as well as promoting the album in French and Swiss venues such as La Flèche d'or, La Bellevilloise, L'International in Paris and Les Docks, L'Usine PTR in Swiss Romande.

With the goal of communicating a message of tolerance and openmindness, the band focuses on stage on creating a lucky, joyfull and vibrant interaction with the public.
